I know you’ll find this hard to believe but I actually managed to break the Hemi again. That’s right, Blasphemi is sitting in the corner of my garage, with fluids dripping from every orifice. There is a silver lining from the latest blow up, though, and that’s a lesson I’ll never forget. I tend to remember the ones that hurt the most, financially speaking. I installed the First/Second gear shift lever onto the side of the transmission upside down and as a result, zinged the Hemi to 10,000 rpm when I went to shift the trans during the holeshot at Rocky Mountain Raceweek 2.0. Oops!
The end result was a nice size dent in the oil pan, shrapnel everywhere, and a hefty bill for a total rebuild. Again. Anyway, I’m not too upset because it’s moments like this one that keep my relationship with the Hemi and Blasphemi, spicy. It also inspired me to release a new Finnegan Speed and Marine t-shirt design that accurately depicts the Hemi’s appetite for Benjamins. Do me a favor and cop one for yourself, your family, your friends, total strangers and the mailman. Every dollar you spend goes directly into the Hemi’s crankcase so that I can keep on doin wheelies, makin smoke clouds, and learnin’ lessons the hard way. Thank you for your support. Oh yeah, look up Episode 117 of Finnegan’s Garage on YouTube if you wanna see exactly what went wrong. Lol
