Life is all about making good memories with your family and friends and I’ve made plenty of good (and bad) ones with this awesome 1970 Datsun 510.

First, I had the thrilling couch surfing adventure of staring at my computer monitor while bidding and cursing the lives of my fellow bidders as we battled to see who would win the auction.

Then I drove from Georgia to the coast of South Carolina where I took delivery of The Lemon from an ex-cop, who touted the cars brand-new wiring harness.

Next my friend Joe and I blasted through a drive through alligator park that featured a nicely gravel road and potential death at the mouth of waterborne dinosaurs!

Then we ventured north to the mountains of North Carolina where the spankin new wire harness melted and hot boxed the 510 in a gas station parking lot.

We spent hours sitting on the ground repairing the damaged harness while making new friends with Datsun heads. Finally, we made it to Sugar Mountain, where after 29 years of snowboarding I had my first major crash, resulting in a broken leg! We made it home the following day and since then we’ve steadily been wrenching on the Datsun in preparation for the biggest FSM giveaway yet.
