When I do a job, I do a job! These are photos of demolished Hemi parts, reminders of the time that one of three shift linkage rods was installed upside down on the Gforce GF5R five speed gearbox. The poor installation resulted in the manual transmission going from Second to First Gear when the shifter was moved from the normal First to Second Gear position.

It was a hard lesson to learn and one that I will not ever forget! The inevitable “money shift” during Rocky Mountain Raceweek 2.0 resulted in the 528ci Chrysler Hemi spinning well past 10,000 rpm and sending a connecting rod crashing into the side of the oil pan. Valves smashed pistons—it was a mess that immediately put me out of competition.

I’ve moved that past that mistake and onto bigger and better ones and so I’m ready to pass these mementos along to five lucky souls who buy anything at FSMGARAGE.COM right now.
